Individuals and households that reside in the city of Kenmore, who have been adversely impacted by the pandemic, and who meet income requirements are encouraged to apply for this direct cash funding support. To meet income qualifications, households must make 50% or less of area median income (AMI). See FAQ’s for AMI chart.
Funding is currently available to households that make 50% or less of area median income. Applicants who do not qualify at this time may be contacted in the event that the eligibility criteria changes.
The application process will require proof of residency, proof of income, and an attestation acknowledging adverse impact by the pandemic. Once eligibility has been determined and the application has been approved, the household can expect to receive payment in about 2 weeks. Cash assistance is planned to be given at $2000 per household and $250 for each additional member of the household after 1 people (Examples: 1 household member $2000; 2 household members $2250; 5 household members $3000). Payments will be made by check and will be mailed to the address on file or picked up in-person.

The application period opens on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, and closes on March 31, 2022. Late applications will not be accepted.
Due to limited funds, we are unable to serve everyone. Some eligible applicants might not receive financial support. Funds are distributed on a first come first served basis.
If you are a lawful permanent resident/green card holder, receiving financial aid from Kenmore Cares as part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) will not impact your ability to become a U.S. citizen. It will also not impact the ability of a lawful permanent resident/green card holder family member to become a U.S. citizen. If you have questions about your immigration status and/or use of benefits, you should speak with an immigration attorney (https://www.ailalawyer.com/) or DOJ-accredited representative.
We will begin to evaluate your application once it is received. If approved, you will receive a check within 2 weeks of your application. If your application is not approved or your check will be delayed, we will contact you by email, phone, or text to discuss next steps.
Northshore Schools Foundation is responsible for collecting the personal information you voluntarily submit on the online application for the direct cash assistance as part of the ARPA. To help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and ensure the correct use of information, Northshore Schools Foundation has established appropriate procedures to safeguard and secure the information they collect. All applications will be reviewed by Kenmore Cares Team.
All information collected through the online application will be secured with HIPAA level compliance.

Currently, eligible applicants are only able to receive a one-time payment.
Northshore Schools Foundation expects to have checks out within 2 weeks of application approval but could be sooner. We can either mail you the check, or you can opt to pick it up in person during office hours which will be held at Kenmore City Hall and the Hanger in downtown Kenmore.
Each family should submit one application for that family.

Yes. Children should be included in your application, if you are eligible and they live with you.
Each application is estimated to take no longer than 10 minutes to complete, provided you have appropriate documentation available to upload.
If your household submits multiple applications by mistake, the Kenmore Cares Team will be able to identify those multiple applications from the same household were submitted and will review the application that conveys the higher need. They may also contact applicants via phone, text, or email if they detect application issues.
